Eusébio Ferreira da Silva, Portugal – Greatest Who Never Won a World Cup

Known as Eusébio; was the top scorer with nine goals in the 1966 World Cup, where his team placed third; named European Footballer of the Year in 1965 and was recognized as one of the 125 best living footballers in Pelé’s 2004 FIFA list; all-time leading scorer for Benfica, the squad he played with for 15 years, and honored as Portugal’s Golden Player, the top footballer of the last 50 years.
