First Person: A brush with a poltergeist – Telegraph

I don’t believe in ghosts. I do believe in ghosts. Perhaps in that crack of doubt, between belief and disbelief, the ghost can appear.
In 1991 I saw a ghost. No, not saw the image of a dead person so much as experienced a haunting. Early that year my aunt Brigitte died in her little brick cottage near Etretat in Normandy, where she lived alone. She was my godmother, a single, professional woman who had taught domestic science all her life. We were very close.
