Consisting of nearly 160 oil paintings, on loan from as far afield as America and Australia, as well as Europe, it is billed as the most important exhibition of the artist’s work for three decades, and offers a cornucopia of Monet’s masterpieces. There are pictures from almost every phase of his career, which lasted from the early 1860s until his death in 1926.
